Robotics Lead - Customer Delivery

PickNik Robotics is the company behind MoveIt Pro, a software platform that combines AI and advanced motion planning to make robots work in the real world. PickNik has taken our learnings from the past 10 years - working with Google, Amazon, Samsung, BMW, Lockheed Martin, NASA, and many startups - and distilled that knowledge into MoveIt Pro. As a Robotics Lead at PickNik Robotics, you will help lead development of customer implementations of MoveIt Pro. You will develop MoveIt Pro-based software applications and create integration solutions for our customers. This role is focused on customer delivery - creating software that will be used on robots around the world (and in outer space!).

Requirements
- Driven to solve customer problems and see your work make an impact
- Excited to work with new customers and multi-task delivery of cool robot software
- Multi-disciplinary approach to technical problem solving and willingness to do what needs to be done - working with 3D files, writing code, debugging performance, working with hardware, etc.
- Minimum 6 years of professional work experience
- Knowledge of C++17 or newer
- Skilled with at least one scripting language such as Python
- Extensive knowledge of software development
- Experience with full life-cycle library and application development, Git version control, software testing, and continuous integration.
- Experience with communication middleware
- Be able to travel approximately every other month to customer sites & conferences. Less than 20% of the time.
- Live in the Boulder/Denver area and have the ability to be in-office at least 3 days per week.
- Degree(s) in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field and/or equivalent industry experience.
Some preferred skills/experience
- ROS, MoveIt, Nav2, Mujoco, or other robotic libraries are advantageous.
- Demonstrated industry ability to deliver complex projects.
- Familiarity with scalable deployment processes like Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
